Personality:
( + ) Caring: Max is a very kind and caring person. He’s aware of those around him and has a good sense for danger or distress. He’s able to befriend people who are otherwise difficult to get close to or have outright bad temperaments. He and Rayne were roommates even in middle school and through patience and perseverance Max had become Rayne’s best friend. As he sees Rayne pushing himself in his studies to become the divine visionary, Max pushes Rayne to not let go of taking care of himself or finding ways to relax. Max is known to be well liked by his classmates in general due to his caring nature and intelligence. When they are working on the test together he is encouraging verbally to Mash and is able to keep him moving forward and not giving up. His caring goes even to former enemies. After the fight that Max has with Carpaccio the latter spends time thinking on his actions and then viewed Max as someone interesting and so he started to follow Max everywhere he went. Instead of holding ill will after the brutal attack from Carpaccio, Max befriends him and brings him under his wing as well.

( - ) Self-sacrificing: Max is willing to put himself in danger without completely thinking through the consequences. He’s doesn’t care if he gets hurt and if he thinks it’s more expedient he will come to harm instead of finding a way for others and himself to come away without injuries. As he and Mash completed their task in the test they were in, Max sensed an enemy was coming. Both Max and Mash were exhausted and so he sent Mash away to get out while he held off Carpacccio. He could have chosen to try and escape as well but to give the people whose cause he cared about the best chance he chose the riskier route of facing an opponent he is no match for. Max is wounded very badly during this fight with Carpaccio which had been more or less one sided.

( - ) Nagging: In line with his caring personality, Max doesn’t always care subtly. He’s very vocal about friends’ weaknesses or when they aren’t taking good enough care of themselves. He’ll step in without being asked or welcomed to push them to sleep or eat as needed. For example, Max is the one that encouraged Rayne to take up rabbit breeding and care to create balance with how hard he was working to become divine visionary. No one asked him to do so but Max pushed his way in to make Rayne take better care of himself and balance his life. Even going forward as Rayne becomes divine visionary, Max remains a bit of a nagging friend as he thinks Rayne is too clumsy to be left alone.

( - ) Evasive: Max is fantastic at getting involved in the problems and personal lives of others but he doesn’t really leave himself open to receiving the same. Where he might be studying just as hard as a friend, he suggests a way to relax to help them and he might help them with it but he never really reveals that he himself is struggling and stressed. When he’s worried with Finn during the test, he is quick to offer him a smile and assurances that it’ll be fine even though he had to know at that point that he would be far out matched even if he had been in a better condition.

Powers and Abilities: Since Max is a double lined mage, he is considered naturally strong and gifted. His personal magic is as follows but has no official name:

Size-changing magic: More or less what it says on the tin. Max can change the size of up to three things at a time (and this does include people).

Small- The spell that shrinks Max’s target to a much smaller size.

Bigduk- This is the spell that makes the target of Max’s spell much larger in size.

Dispel- A spell that cancels his personal magic and thus returns targets back to the original size.
